It can and does happen with fired rounds that fail to eject properly.

An unfired round sticking out of the side of the chamber like that doesn't really make sense, as it means the round was being extracted from the chamber and failed to do so fully before the bolt slammed forward again. On a realism note, this type of malfunction would pretty much never happen this way. If you look closely, you can also see the much higher than normal spread. Weapon jamming is implemented, but hardly anybody ever gets their durability low enough to see it.ĪKS-74U, approximately 5/100 Durability, online raid, Customs day-time. I don't have a larger sample size because, frankly, it is a long and boring process to try to get into a dead raid and fire thousands of rounds. I've tested this with both an AKS-74U and an HK416. The lower the durability, the worse the accuracy and the more frequently it jams. A short animation will play of the jam being cleared, and then you can start shooting again. If you get the durability low enough weapons WILL jam every 1-10 shots. The lower you go, the more frequently it jams. I did not observe jamming until 25/100, but I also have done any substantial testing between 25-50. This makes testing to see where exactly jamming begins kind of a pain, so I haven't done it yet. The durability number will stay the same the entire raid, and even if you fire 4000 rounds in one raid you will not see a difference in the performance of the gun until said gun leaves the raid (either by extracting with it or getting it back on insurance). This means that 1000 rounds fired = 25 durability points lost.ĭurability does not go down until AFTER the raid is over. Durability, how it works, and what it does:įrom my testing, you will lose 0.00025 (0.025%) durability per shot.
